We are pleased to announce the Beta Release of the Frost Forge Deal Maker tool! The Deal Maker allows you to easily keep track of a deal as you go along.
Welcome to Frost Forge Deal Maker! This tool helps you organize and manage your Trading Card Game (TCG) trades efficiently. Follow these simple steps to get started.
1. Getting Started
- Installation: Ensure the application is installed and running on your device.
- Interface Overview: You'll see a main window divided into two main sections: Party A and Party B. These represent the two sides of the trade (e.g., You vs. Friend, or You vs. Card Shop).
2. Navigating the Interface
Party A & Party B Sections: Each section has identical controls.
- Add Line Item: Button to add a new card to this side of the deal.
- Card Name: Input field for the card's name.
- Quantity: Input field for how many copies of this card.
- Price Each: Input field for the value of one copy of the card.
- Condition (Optional): Dropdown or text field to specify condition (e.g., Near Mint, Played, etc.).
- Percentage (Optional): Input field for a percentage (e.g., 70%, 80%). This is used if this side of the trade is handled by a vendor or shop that takes at a percentage (most do). The price entered for each line item is before the percentage is applied. The tool will automatically calculate the net amount for each line item.
- Cash (Optional): Input field for adding cash paid directly by this party.
Deal Summary Section:
- Total Value (Party A): Automatically calculated sum of all card values (Quantity * Price Each) and any Cash added for Party A.
- Total Value (Party B): Automatically calculated sum of all card values (Quantity * Price Each) and any Cash added for Party B.
- Balance: Automatically calculated as Total Value (Party A) - Total Value (Party B). A positive balance means Party A owes money to Party B, and vice-versa.
- (Note on Percentages and Cash): The Balance calculation takes into account the Percentage applied to the card values before adding any Cash. Cash is treated as a separate transaction line.
3. Adding Cards (Line Items)
- Decide which side of the trade (Party A or Party B) the card belongs to.
- Click the Add Line Item button for that party.
Fill in the details:
- Card Name: Enter the name of the card.
- Quantity: Enter how many copies.
- Price Each: Enter the agreed-upon value per copy.
- Click outside the fields or look for an "Add" confirmation (if required) to save the line item. The card will appear in the list under the selected party.
4. Handling Percentages (Vendor/Cash)
- Use the Percentage field: If a vendor or shop is involved on either side, use this field to apply their fee. The value you see for that card line item (or the calculation elsewhere) will reflect the net amount after the percentage is deducted.
- Use the Cash field: Use this field for direct cash transactions in addition to card swaps. For example, if Party A gives you two rares worth $10 each and pays you $5 cash directly, enter the two rares and then add a cash line item with $5 for Party A.
5. Calculating the Balance
The tool automatically calculates the Total Value for each side by summing up:
- (Quantity * Price Each) for all card line items.
- Any Cash entered for that side (positive for receiving, negative for paying).
- The Balance is then calculated as: Total Value (Party A) - Total Value (Party B).
- The balance updates in real-time as you add or modify line items.
6. Saving the Deal
When you are satisfied with the details of the trade:
- Click the Save Deal button.
- Your deal will now be stored in your account profile for future reference, review, or sharing.
